The Day Everything Changed. How to leave behind race anxiety.

People running strong out of the water during triathlon. Future athlete progression is key.

Race morning.

Emma stood at the starting line of her first 70.3 with legs trained, nutrition dialed, and a $3,000 bike gleaming in the sunrise. But none of that mattered—because her mind was losing it.

She couldn’t breathe.
Couldn’t focus.
Couldn’t stop thinking, What if I blow up again? What if I’m just not made for this?

She wasn’t new to the sport. But every time race day rolled around, it was like her confidence packed up and left the building.

That’s when she found me.
Not a new coach.
Not a faster taper.
But a Future Athlete Progression session.

In two hours, we dove into what she really needed:

  • The ability to calm her body under pressure.
  • The tools to rewire her internal dialogue.
  • A deep, vivid image of what success feels like—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.

We used hypnotic visualization, nervous system regulation, and identity-level belief shifts. No fluff. No “just think positive.”
This was mental strength built for race day.

Fast-forward to her next race.
Same starting line.
Same course.
But this time, she was grounded. Calm. Focused.
She said afterward, “I felt like I’d already raced it 100 times in my head—and every time I crossed that finish line strong.”

And she did.

If you’re an athlete doing everything right physically, but your mind still gets in the way on race day…
You don’t need more miles.
You need this session.
